Amazing two days at the 2022 Auckland Writers Festival

What an amazing two days last week at the 2022 AWF! A big thanks to Anne O'Brien and all the volunteers and supporting team who made the event a huge success.

On the Thursday night, I shared the stage and spoke with seven amazing writers throughout the Gala Night. Our task was to deliver a seven-minute true and personal story on the theme of ‘Across the Divide.’ My presentation was on how my father sparked a deep passion in me to read as a young kid, as he recognised it would open many doors for me that had been closed to him.

Then on Friday afternoon, I was interviewed by Andrew Whiteside in a session entitled ‘From the Front.’ Andrew is an amazing man and I thoroughly enjoyed sharing stories about my upbringing, career trajectory, and how they influenced the direction of my three books. A big thanks to the US Embassy for sponsoring the event.
